Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, & Dobro
Guitar lessons focus on the goals of each student and cater to the individual’s strengths and abilities. Learn a variety of different styles of playing on all types of guitars including acoustic, electric, resonator and classical. You can learn how to read both standard notation and tablature, how to develop your ear, basic to advanced chords, improvisation, music and guitar theory, fingerpicking/finger-style, flatpicking, and how to play in an ensemble.
Violin & Viola (Suzuki Method)
The Violin and Viola instruction is rooted in the Suzuki method, which starts children as young as three or four year old, though it is never too late to start! We believe that musical growth can be fostered in any child, and a stringed instrument is a fantastic way to get started on a lifelong journey of song and creativity.
Mandolins are common instruments in bluegrass, folk, classical, country and even rock. Students can expect to learn a variety of music styles and techniques that are valuable whether you're playing with friends or getting ready for a big show.
Bass (Electric or Upright)
The bass curriculum at Windom Park Music is based around the student's needs and goals. Our instructors welcome players of any skill level, and can give instruction on both electric and upright bass. The role of the bassist can vary from style to style, and that is why we offer instruction on almost any genre you can think of. Whether you are looking to learn the latest song off the radio, develop your fretboard theory chops, or improve your reading skills, we can help!
